About Moore In Focus
Moore in Focus: A Friendship in Letters is a new exhibition at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA) in Norwich, Norfolk. The exhibition has been designed and curated by students on the University of East Anglia’s 2013-2014 Museum Studies MA course. A Friendship in Letters seeks to trace the history of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and its extensive world art collection by exploring the personal friendship between its founders, Sir Robert and Lady Lisa Sainsbury, and the renowned British sculptor Henry Moore, whose work they collected for four decades. The exhibition displays never before seen letters, photographs and postcards drawn from the Sainsbury Research Unit’s extensive archives, and is accompanied and supplemented by a program of educational activities for both children and adults.
Moore in Focus: A Friendship in Letters opened on Saturday 26th April 2014 and will run until Sunday 20th July. We hope to see you there.
